I had to look up some of the other songs since I wasn't familiar with them, but am anxious to learn most of the songs. Mark Hanson is an excellent teacher, guitarist, and arranger. I would say the ability to read music is essential for this book even though it had tabs. I am learning it measure by measure only by using an audio capture program. He mentions in the CD that this was a 2-year effort to create the song arrangements and master them on the guitar. His style is similar to Bill Piburn...but has less of the really long left hand stretches that Piburn includes...so, from that standpoint it's more playable.
