"I often think of Edward Gorey as Dr. Seuss for adults. If you're looking for a way to enjoy a darker version of Dr. Seuss, then I highly recommend Amphigorey. Whether you read "The Listing Attic," "The Gashlycrumb Tinies," "The Insect God," "The Hapless Child," or "The Fatal Lozenge" you'll find them both perverse and a little humorous at the same time. ..."
